Quicken 2003-2005 for Windows Conversion Instructions
Step 1. Download the Latest Quicken Update
- From the Quicken Online menu, choose One Step Update.
- Uncheck all options in the One Step Update dialog boxes and click Update Now. (Click Done on Account Update Summary if presented with window)
- Exit and restart Quicken.
Step 2. Deactivate Your Accounts with Nevada Federal Credit Union
- Open the register for the first account at Nevada Federal Credit Union.
- Click the Overview tab (Example 2-A, Step 1).
- In the Account Attributes area, click Change Online Services (Example 2-A, Step 2).
- Click Deactivate in the Transaction Download area (Example 2-B) and then click Yes in the pop-up dialog box to confirm.
You will receive the message: “You are about to delete setup information for an online account.” Click OK. Click OK again.
- Repeat steps 1-4 for all Nevada Federal Credit Union accounts you have enabled for online access.
- To ensure all your online accounts have been disabled, go to the Tools menu, Account List and verify the word ‘Activated’ does not appear in the Online Services column for all your Nevada Federal Credit Union accounts. Close this screen by clicking the ‘X’ on the top right corner of this page.

Step 3. Create a Password
If you have already setup a password for SilverLink Online, please skip this step.
Visit www.nevadafederal.org. You will enter in your account number and PIN, and then it will prompt you to create an 8-25 character password. This new password you will use to logon to SilverLink Online and to direct connect in Quicken.
Note: If you change your password within SilverLink Online, you will need to enter this new password into Quicken.
Step 4. Reactivate Your Account(s) with Nevada Federal - Direct Connect
- Return to Quicken and click on the “Overview” tab for the last account you disabled for online services.
- Click the Edit Account Details button in the Account Attributes table.
- Choose Nevada Federal - Direct Connectfrom the Financial Institution drop-down list (Example 4-A).
- Click the Online Services tab.
- To activate Transaction Download, click Activate in the Transaction Download area (Example 4-B).
- Enter your account number (Example 4-C, Step 1).
- Enter the password you choose in Step 3 (This is your SilverLink Online password) (Example 4-C, Step 2).
- Click Next (Example 4-C, Step 3).
Repeat this for every account at Nevada Federal.

Step 5. Connect to Nevada Federal - Direct Connect
If you use the Quicken PIN Vault, update it now.
If you use the Quicken PIN Vault, you will need to update your Nevada Federal - Direct Connect PIN.
- From the Quicken Online menu, choose PIN Vaultand then choose Edit.
- In the PIN Vault Password dialog box, enter your PIN Vault Password and then click OK.
- Select your first account at Nevada Federal Credit Union by clicking the account number.
- Click Change PIN.
- In the Change A PIN dialog box, enter your updated Nevada Federal Credit Union Password that you selected in Step 3, re-enter it, and then click Change.
- Click Done.
Repeat Steps 3 through 6 for each account at Nevada Federal Credit Union.
Go Online
- From the Quicken Cash Flow menu, choose Online Center. Make sure that Nevada Federal - Direct Connect is selected from the Financial Institution drop-down list.
- In the Online Center window, click Update/Send. Make sure to use your new Nevada Federal Credit Union Password when prompted.
- Click Update Now to continue and then wait until your online session is completed.
